Everyday decisions reveal a leader’s integrity
Trust is built in everyday decisions
Jitka Adámková is Chief People, Law & Integrity Officer and an Executive Board member at T-Mobile Czech Republic and Slovak Telekom. Her role brings together people leadership, legal responsibility and integrity across both organisations.
In this Leaders Talk with Vladimír Janík, she discusses how she makes decisions when formal rules are not enough, identifies the interests behind organisational pressure and builds trust through consistent actions. She also explains why developing people who eventually surpass her is her measure of a lasting leadership contribution.
In this conversation
Five questions on integrity, judgement and trust under pressure
Consistency builds trust beyond formal rules
Consistency is where trust becomes visible
Jitka connects sound judgement with authenticity, a clear sense of purpose and staying mentally and physically fit.
Who are you as a leader when no one is watching?
01
I am the same person in front of the leadership curtain and behind it with all my strengths and weaknesses. I stay consistent and authentic — that is my brand, my strength, and sometimes even my curse.
What guides your decisions when rules are not enough?
02
It is different when rules are not enough — sometimes even better. That is when meaning matters most. I am not afraid to go against the current if it helps me understand the purpose of what I do. I know I can only make good decisions when I stay mentally and physically fit.

Jitka Adámková, Chief People, Law & Integrity Officer at T-Mobile Czech Republic and Slovak Telekom, in conversation with Vladimír Janík about decisions beyond formal rules, personal consistency and responsible leadership — Menity Leaders Talk, February 2026.
Responsible decisions start with understanding the pressure
Understanding the interests behind the pressure
She looks at who benefits from organisational pressure before deciding how to respond. Trust, she argues, depends on actions rather than declarations.
How do you respond when the system puts pressure on you?
03
The system is people with different interests. Pressure often serves an individual or a small group — and they hide behind “the system.” I work best when I understand why the pressure exists and who benefits from it. Only then can I find the most responsible solution. My motivation is to do the right thing — that is what builds trust.
What behavior builds trust under constant pressure?
04
Trust is built by what we actually do — not by what appears on slides or in declarations. For me, it comes down to courage, inspiration, and humility, and the ability to see around three corners, as my team likes to say.

Vladimír Janík and Jitka Adámková during Menity Leaders Talk, discussing the interests behind organisational pressure, the actions that build trust and why developing future leaders is a lasting measure of leadership.
Leadership lasts through the people who grow
The real test is what continues after you
For Jitka, a lasting leadership contribution is visible in people who grow and eventually become better than their leader.
What should remain after a leader?
05
I always call it a stamp — or a fingerprint. For me, the best outcome is people and talents who grow and eventually become better than I am. That is the proof that what I do truly makes sense.
In Menity’s CEO and board work across CEE, we examine how leaders exercise judgement under pressure and develop people who can take responsibility independently. Both matter when assessing a leader’s contribution beyond their own tenure.
